Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Activities Assistant at one of its care homes. You will deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to keep residents motivated and fulfilled, helping them pursue interests and stay connected with family and community.

No specific background needed; bring energy, creativity and empathy, and you can develop your skills through courses and training while making a meaningful difference in residents’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; suitable from any background.
• Must have sense of fun, creativity and ability to encourage and motivate others.
• Enthusiastic and empathetic with interest in helping residents.
• Opportunity to develop skills through training courses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities for residents.
• Support an entertainment and activities programme across pastimes, social activities, outings and events.
• Help residents live as independently as possible and engage with family, friends and community.
