Job summary

RTS Infrastructure, part of Arriva Group, is seeking a Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) - Track based at Holbeck Depot, Leeds. The role offers technical leadership, construction assurance and governance across rail projects, reporting to the Senior Construction Manager.

You will review plans, guide site teams, manage engineering interfaces and support project readiness, testing and handback while promoting safety and compliance across the works.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Experience delivering track engineering works in a rail infrastructure environment.
• Qualified for Track CRE-C where applicable.
• PTS certification and CSCS card where required.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the nominated Track CRE for allocated projects and work packages.
• Provide engineering assurance throughout construction of track infrastructure works.
• Ensure access to drawings, specs, standards and technical information before works.
• Offer technical guidance to site teams during project delivery.
• Identify and escalate engineering risks and interfaces.
• Coordinate activities with other rail disciplines and stakeholders.
• Review construction methodologies and delivery plans for compliance.
• Support design reviews, constructability assessments and handover.
• Attend site during key activities to provide engineering leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced rail engineering professional to provide technical leadership, construction assurance and engineering governance across a diverse portfolio of rail infrastructure projects.
