Impact Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Workshop Engineer to join a family-run business specialising in pedestrian-operated tower cranes for the UK construction sector. The successful candidate will work at the Rushden depot, carrying out fault finding, repairs and scheduled maintenance on a range of crane equipment.

Formación

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Have at least five years' experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role.
• Strong multi-skilled engineering ability, with both mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Be confident diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be comfortable working at heights and undertaking physically demanding tasks.
• Be able to work safely under their own initiative and follow health and safety procedures.
• Be flexible, reliable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
• Be willing to undertake customer site visits and occasional overnight stays.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing of self-erecting and city tower cranes.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Install and dismantle pedestrian-operated tower cranes, including self-erecting cranes.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of the crane fleet.
• Carry out engineering checks and ensure equipment is safe and ready for use.
• Follow health and safety procedures when carrying out maintenance, repairs and lifting-related activities.
• Work independently at the depot and visit customer sites when required.
• Support site-based work, including occasional overnight stays.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
