Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Romsey is seeking an on-site Lift Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with project specs and regulations, plan and execute lifts, and maintain detailed records of activities.

You must lead a trained lifting team, conduct risk assessments, monitor weather, interface with project managers and engineers, and uphold high safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• CPCS or NPORS certification required.
• Proven teamwork and strong work ethic.
• Ability to act as a point of contact when working standalone.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lifting operations comply with project specifications and regulations.
• Plan and execute lifting operations in consultation with the team.
• Ensure the lifting team is trained and competent.
• Investigate and report any lifting accidents or incidents.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders.

The role:

As the site Lift Supervisor you will be responsible for

• Ensuring that lifting operations comply with project specifications and industry regulations
• Planning and executing lifting operations in consultation with other team members
• Ensuring that the lifting team is trained and competent
• Investigating and reporting any accidents or incidents related to lifting operations
• Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Monitoring weather conditions and making appropriate decisions to postpone or continue operations
• Documenting all lifting operations and maintaining an accurate record of the same
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures for all lifting operations
• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the lifting team
• Inspecting and ensuring the proper maintenance of lifting equipment and gear

About you:

You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.

You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.
