Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Crane Supervisor for a four-week contract in Plympton, Plymouth PL7. You will supervise crane operations, coordinate the lifting teams, and ensure all activities follow the approved lift plan.

Applicants must hold a CPCS or NPORS Crane/Lifting Supervisor qualification, have relevant site experience, and possess strong communication skills. Right to work in the UK is required, with a 5 October start date.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Crane Supervisor / Lifting Supervisor.
• Good understanding of lifting plans, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate crane and lifting operations on site.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the approved lift plan.
• Coordinate crane operators, banks men/signallers and lifting teams.
• Check lifting equipment, accessories and work areas before operations commence.
• Ensure exclusion zones and safe working procedures are maintained.
• Communicate effectively with site management and other contractors.
• Monitor lifting operations and stop work where unsafe conditions arise.
• Complete relevant lifting documentation and report any issues or incidents.
