Job summary

Search Recruitment in Edinburgh City Centre is seeking an experienced Crane Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on a busy construction site. You will ensure all lifts are carried out safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with the lifting plan and current health & safety requirements.

You will coordinate with crane operators, banksmen and site personnel, maintain exclusion zones, and ensure procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Crane Supervisor qualification (CPCS or NPORS) essential.
• Experience supervising lifting on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations and site safety.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider site team.

Search Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Crane Supervisor to join our team for ongoing work in Edinburgh City Centre.

The Role

We are seeking a competent and experienced Crane Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on a busy construction site in central Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently, in line with site procedures, lifting plans and current health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising crane and lifting operations on site
• Ensuring lifting operations are carried out safely and in accordance with the lifting plan
• Coordinating with crane operators, banksmen and other site personnel
• Maintaining safe exclusion zones around lifting operations
• Ensuring site lifting procedures and health & safety requirements are followed
• Communicating effectively with the site management team
• Reporting any issues or concerns regarding lifting operations

Requirements

• Relevant Crane Supervisor / CPCS or NPORS qualification - essential
• Previous experience supervising lifting operations on construction sites
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider site team
