Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Crane Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of mobile cranes, ensuring they are safe, compliant and ready to support customers.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance and work with operations to plan maintenance campaigns, with training available to expand your skills and career progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and hydraulic engineering knowledge.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Commitment to working safely and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and repairing mobile cranes and related equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate service records and inspection documentation.
• Working closely with operational teams to plan maintenance activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and engineering performance.
