Freightliner Group Ltd. is seeking a Crane Maintenance Engineer to maintain, inspect and repair Rail Mounted Gantry cranes and related equipment at Dock Gate 20, Southampton.
The role combines electrical and mechanical tasks, emphasizes safety, and includes supporting apprentices and using Freightliner IT systems. It is a safety-critical, permanent, full-time position on a 12-hour continental shift pattern with weekend work.

Job Title: Crane Maintenance Engineer (internally known as Engineering Technician Grade A)
Location: Dock Gate 20, Southampton
Salary: £38,960 per annum (35-hour contract)
Roster Salary: £55,756 per annum (8 week ,42-hour average continental shift pattern)
Plus: Overtime opportunities
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of Work: 12-hour day and night shifts (6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am) on an 8-week rotating continental shift pattern, averaging 42 hours per week, including weekends.
Please note: This is a Safety Critical position.
Additional Information Successful applicants will be required to pass a Safety Critical medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, and provide a satisfactory DBS check.
