Job summary

Palfinger UK in Devizes is seeking a Crane Fitter / Fabricator to build and fit market-leading lorry loader cranes onto commercial vehicles. You’ll fabricate subframes, fit cranes to chassis and complete hydraulic plumbing to specification.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.
• MIG welding proficiency required.
• Fabrication and subframe construction experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and fittings beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and fit bespoke subframes and cranes to vehicle chassis.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly to required specifications.
• Perform hydraulic fitting and plumbing as part of crane installation.
• Read engineering drawings and work to build specs.
• Liaise with Team Leader and support colleagues as needed.
