Cracking Slate is seeking a workshop facilitator for the Tiny Giants puppetry programme. The work runs in libraries, schools and community spaces across London and the Midlands this autumn, with sessions including puppet-building and short-group performances.

The role requires co-delivery with the Lead Facilitator, hands-on puppetry experience, and a passion for nurturing young people’s creativity. DBS is preferred; travel outside London is supported.

About the Project
Tiny Giants is a workshop programme for children aged 6-11 taking place in libraries, schools and community spaces in London and the Midlands throughout the autumn. During the workshop children create their own puppet from everyday materials before learning how to use the puppet and devise their own short scene in groups together. The aim of the workshop is for the children to develop a deeper understanding of where the things we use and take for granted come from and to learn how to express themselves and their own ideas.

The Role
We're looking for a Facilitator to work alongside the Lead Facilitator to deliver our Tiny Giants puppetry workshops. This is a brilliant opportunity for an emerging practitioner who's passionate about nurturing creativity and supporting young people to find their voice. Experience making and performing with puppets is essential.

Time Commitment
The project will run on specific dates throughout October:
Saturday 3rd October
Monday 19th - Friday 23rd October
Monday 26th - Friday 30th October
There will be 1/2 day of training at the start of the project.

Fee
Day rate (2 sessions): £100
Half day rate (1 session): £60

1 session is 3 hours long

Travel and accommodation will be provided for sessions outside of London

Job Requirements

Essential
