Job summary

Your World Nursing in the United Kingdom is seeking a Psychiatric Community Nurse to deliver community-based mental health support in Harlow. You will assess patients, develop care plans, provide counselling, medication support and crisis intervention, and collaborate with NHS and social care teams.

The role is full-time with PAYE daily payroll, and comes with training, support and travel/accommodation assistance. NMC registration and UK references are required.

As a Psychiatric Community Nurse, you’ll provide mental health support and care within the community. Your duties will involve working closely with patients dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. You’ll conduct assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs, develop personalised care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions. You’ll also offer counselling, medication management, and crisis intervention, helping patients cope with their conditions and enhance their overall well-being. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other healthcare and social service providers, support networks, and community resources to facilitate holistic care. You’ll act as advocates for their patients, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental illness.
