Job summary

Your World Nursing is seeking a Psychiatric Community Nurse to deliver mental health care in the Preston area. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions within the community setting.

Responsibilities include counselling, medication management, crisis intervention, and collaboration with NHS and social services. NMC registration and UK work rights are required; 6 months UK experience and references preferred.

• NMC registration is required to practice in the UK.
• Minimum 6 months' UK healthcare experience is required.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• UK references are required.

As a Psychiatric Community Nurse, you’ll provide mental health support and care within the community. Your duties will involve working closely with patients dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. You’ll conduct assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs, develop personalised care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions. You’ll also offer counselling, medication management, and crisis intervention, helping patients cope with their conditions and enhance their overall well-being. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other healthcare and social service providers, support networks, and community resources to facilitate holistic care. You’ll act as advocates for their patients, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental illness.
