Job summary

Glebe School is seeking a Safeguarding & Inclusion Mentor for Autumn 2026. The role involves providing targeted safeguarding and inclusion support to vulnerable pupils, under the Designated Safeguarding Lead, to help them feel safe, included and engaged.

The position is 33.75 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks), with the starting salary and career progression outlined in the NJC scale. A strong commitment to safeguarding and collaboration with families is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and supporting pupils.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with pupils and families.
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Willingness to participate in CPD and work within a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group safeguarding and inclusion interventions.
• Work under the direction of the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Reduce barriers to attendance, wellbeing and participation.
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals to support pupils.
