Job summary

Wellesley Hospital in Wellington, Somerset, is seeking a CPA Coordinator to ensure high standards of administering and documenting the Care Programme Approach. You will coordinate CPA meetings, set dates, invite attendees, book rooms, prepare packs, and distribute them to relevant parties.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs including English are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Outlook, Excel) is expected.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively is required.
  • Excellent organisational skills are essential for this role.
  • Experience taking accurate meeting minutes or a willingness to develop this skill.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet visitors to meetings and record attendees.
  • Gather documentation after meetings and type the full document.
  • Ensure reports are read and signed by relevant disciplines.
  • Prepare and update the CPA timetable and distribute to wards regularly.
  • File completed packs and archive as necessary.
  • Liaise with external agencies regarding continued care of patients as required.
  • Assist in maintaining high standards in office practices and filing systems.

Are you an experienced administrator with a willingness to learn about the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and national guidelines?

If so, join Wellesley Hospital as a CPA Coordinator where you will ensure the department provides and maintains a high standard of administrating and documenting the Care Programme Approach.

As the CPA Coordinator you will be liaising with the Mental Health Act Admin department to prepare, plan and coordinate CPA meetings for service users. This will include setting dates of the meetings, preparing and sending out invitations to all relevant parties, booking rooms and hospitality for the meetings, collating and typing up any necessary documents and preparing and distributing all completed packs to the relevant parties.

Other responsibilities:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Outlook and Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience taking accurate meeting minutes, or confidence and willingness to develop this skill
Desirable Criteria
  • Knowledge of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and national guidelines
  • An interest in developing skills and understanding of CPA processes
  • Experience in diary coordination

Location: Westpark 26, Chelston, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9FF

You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with Mental Health needs.

There are 6 wards for people with Mental Health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities & Autism.

The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with Mental Health issues.
