ING aims to differentiate itself through sector expertise, a global network, and sustainability leadership.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications/Education

  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

ING offers an exciting opportunity for an Analyst-level Assistant Relationship Manager (“ARM”) to support the development of the CSC client portfolio. The role reports to the UK Head of CSC. The ideal candidate is degree-educated in a numerate discipline from a top-tier university with 1-2 years of relevant corporate banking front office experience. Lending or related product experience is advantageous.

The ARM plays a key role in the overall client relationship, supporting the Parent Account Managers (“PAM”) in managing client relationships. The ARM also collaborates closely with KYC colleagues to ensure the Customer Acceptance process for new and existing clients is executed efficiently and promptly.

Key Tasks:

  1. Client Contact Management – understand each client's marketing strategy to support PAM in maintaining and developing relationships.
  2. Identify new business opportunities and prospect clients by maintaining client dialogue, monitoring activity, and responding to market developments.
  3. Support PAM and product partners in executing transactions or mandates.
  4. Work with Client Onboarding teams to ensure all customer acceptance steps (CDD/FATCA/CRS/MiFID/ESR/Sanctions/ESG) are completed, updated, and renewed satisfactorily.
  5. Coordinate with PAMs, Client Onboarding, Risk, and Finance to ensure internal exposure and income reports are accurate.
  6. Assist in completing transaction ‘stories’ and updating the Deals Database after major transactions.
  7. Handle administrative tasks as required.

Personal Competencies:

  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Professional integrity and personal responsibility.
  • Results-oriented with a commercial mindset.
  • Curious, self-motivated, and committed to high work ethics.
