Job summary

Monarch Education in Northampton is seeking a confident, adaptable Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school. This role suits a qualified teacher, ECT, or experienced cover supervisor aiming to impact a range of subjects and year groups.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons during absences, maintain high standards of learning, manage behaviour, and support pupil progress. It is a full-time, term-time contract starting September 2026, with permanent or long-term

• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to teach confidently across a range of subjects.

Salary: £110 to £200 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher, ECT, or experienced cover supervisor looking to make a positive impact across a range of subjects and year groups.

As a Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of learning by delivering pre-planned lessons during teacher absences and ensuring students remain engaged, challenged, and supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience working within a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential).
