Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Peterborough is recruiting for a Cover Supervisor Trainee to work in a secondary school. You will lead lessons for about 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher, covering across subjects with pre-planned tasks and a handover to the absent teacher.

The role offers a stepping stone to Initial Teacher Training, with a comprehensive Cover Supervisor Training Programme. Prior secondary school experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead lessons for ~30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
• Cover classes across the full range of secondary school subjects with pre-planned lessons.
• Manage classroom behaviour and record accurate registers.
• Provide a handover to the absent teacher.
