Job summary

Vision For Education is seeking a Trainee Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent. No formal teaching qualification is required as full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this a great entry point into a teaching career.

You will supervise KS3 and KS4 classes, deliver pre-set work, help maintain classroom discipline, and liaise with teaching staff about student progress.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for working with young people in secondary education.
• Confidence leading groups of students.
• Willingness to undergo training with Vision For Education.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervising secondary school classes (KS3 and KS4) across Stoke-on-Trent schools.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and learning activities set by teaching staff.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Supporting students to stay focused and complete assigned work.
• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
