Job summary

Mana Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors for opportunities in Leicester and surrounding areas. You will supervise classes during a teacher's absence, ensuring pupils stay focused and complete work prepared by the school.

This role requires clear communication and classroom confidence, with no requirement for QTS. We welcome experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants seeking more responsibility, or graduates exploring teaching as a career.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with young people, clear communication and the confidence to manage a classroom are what matter.
• No Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required; suitable for graduates, teaching assistants, or those considering teaching as a career.
• A degree or education qualification can be useful but isn’t essential for every vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during a teacher's absence and ensure pupils stay focused.
• Explain set tasks and check pupils understand instructions, maintaining a calm, productive classroom.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policy and encourage participation.
• Take registers and follow school procedures; provide feedback to teaching staff.
