Job Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuous learning during teacher absences. You will step into pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, taking charge of classrooms, maintaining a disciplined environment, and ensuring pupils complete the work assigned by absent department staff. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise pre-set lessons across diverse secondary subjects (STEM, Humanities, Languages, Arts) in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Create a safe, purposeful, and structured learning environment in every classroom
• Enforce the school's behavior management policy consistently, handling classroom dynamics calmly and authoritatively
• Distribute learning materials, explain set instructions clearly, and support pupils with set tasks
• Complete electronic attendance registers accurately at the start of every period
• Collect completed student work and leave clear handover notes for returning class teachers
