Job summary

Emmanuel Middle School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to supervise and support pupils during learning activities when a teacher is absent. The role is part-time (30 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) and permanent, with a pro rata salary of £18,724–£19,635 per annum.

The successful candidate will support the school's ethos and participate in training for future teaching opportunities. Applicants should be enthusiastic, well-motivated and capable of leading a class, with a commitment to high expectations

Qualifications

• Ideally degree level (or equivalent) and an interest in teaching.
• Experience supervising pupils is preferred.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks and training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils during learning activities.
• Take charge of a sole group or class and manage behaviour to ensure a constructive learning environment.
• Support teaching staff during short-term absences and learning tasks.
