Job summary

The Becket School in West Bridgford is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support learning when the usual teacher is away. You will supervise KS3/KS4 (and occasional KS5) classes, ensuring activities run smoothly and pupils stay on task.

This fixed term maternity cover starts November 2026, for up to 52 weeks, 26 hours per week, term-time only, with a supportive team and opportunities for professional development through Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising KS3/KS4/KS5 classes.
• Caring, supportive approach and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supervise KS3, KS4 and occasional KS5 classes during teacher absence with pre-set activities.
• Be caring and supportive and committed to achieving excellent results.
• Foster excellent relationships with students and promote their well-being.
• Promote the well-being of students and inspire learning and progress.
• Be approachable and professional with the ability to manage large groups of young people.
• Be resilient, well organised and capable of effective time management.
