Are you a confident and adaptable education professional looking for a rewarding challenge? Five Education is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor or HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to support learners across a range of primary and secondary settings in the Bristol area.
This role is perfect for those who enjoy variety, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a passion for supporting young people—especially those with additional needs.
Leading whole class lessons during teacher absences using pre-prepared materials.
Supporting students in developing key academic and personal skills across the curriculum.
Working closely with teaching staff and SEND teams to manage behaviour and ensure every learner stays engaged.
Acting as a positive role model for students, promoting resilience, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Providing tailored support to individuals or small groups with SEND or SEMH needs where required.
Has prior experience working in a classroom environment (as a TA, HLTA, tutor, or youth mentor).
Is confident in managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Can adapt quickly to new settings and build rapport with students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Holds an HLTA qualification or equivalent (or has solid experience in a similar capacity).
Has a genuine interest in education, inclusion, and supporting students with diverse needs.
