Job description

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education in the absence of teaching staff. You will supervise pre-set lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) levels, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities across various subjects
2. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and in line with school policies
3. Support students with their learning and encourage classroom engagement
4. Establish positive relationships with students and staff
5. Provide feedback on student behaviour and participation

What We’re Looking For:

1. A degree in any subject (minimum 2:2 preferred)
2. Previous experience working with young people (school, tutoring, mentoring, youth work etc.)
3. Strong communication and organisational skills
4. Confidence in managing behaviour and leading a classroom
5. A genuine passion for education and making a difference
