Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across our thriving Secondary Schools in Tipton and surrounding areas. This flexible, day-to-day role suits university students, sports coaches, youth workers and others seeking entry into education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay on task with pre-set work and helping maintain a positive learning environment that supports progress.

Qualifications

• The successful Cover Supervisor will have a confident and adaptable approach to classroom management.
• Strong communication skills are essential to support pupils and staff.
• Experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, youth work, tutoring) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay on task with pre-set work.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and support students' progress.
• Assist partner schools in Hall Green with day-to-day placements and DBS reference checks.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years or willingness to train

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

• A confident and adaptable approach to classroom management
• Strong communication skills
• Ideally some experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, youth work, tutoring)
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (vision for Education do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
