Job summary

Colton Hills Community School is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to support pupils and maintain high standards during teacher absences. You will supervise lessons, promote learning, and work with staff to uphold behaviour and attainment.

The role suits graduates seeking classroom experience for a future teaching career and requires good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills, plus eligibility to work in the UK. Term-time, 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Holds a 2:1 degree or higher in Maths, English, Science or a related subject
• Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people
• Demonstrates strong communication skills
• Is considering a future career in education or a related field
• Has the right to work in the UK

Experience of working with or caring for secondary school aged children is essential. The successful candidate should have excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills and be able to communicate clearly to students and staff in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies and procedures.

37 Hours Per Week -Term Time Only

Hours of work are:

Monday - Thursday - 8.00 am - 4.00 pm and Friday - 8.00 am - 3.30 pm (30 minute for lunch every day)
