TipTopJob is seeking a proactive classroom supervisor for a permanent, full-time role starting this September. You will oversee pre-set lessons, maintain order, support student engagement, and ensure safety within a dynamic secondary education setting.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a focused, orderly learning environment in line with the school policy.
• Supervise pre-set work left by absent teachers and ensure students understand tasks.
• Support student engagement and keep learners motivated and on task.
• Record student attendance at the start of each lesson.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe classroom.
• Prepare handover notes for returning teachers with detailed insights.
• Move between subjects and year groups as required.
• Distribute and manage classroom resources and equipment.

Key Requirements

• Relevant Experience: Prior experience supporting young people within an educational or mentorship capacity.
• Enhanced DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service (or a willingness for one).
• Proactive Mindset: A self:motivated approach to identifying classroom needs and stepping in to assist without constant supervision.
• Eligibility to Work: Valid legal entitlement to work full:time in the UK.

Core Responsibilities

• Classroom Management: Maintain a focused and orderly learning environment, ensuring the schools behaviour policy is consistently enforced.
• Lesson Delivery: Supervise and deliver pre:set work left by the absent subject teacher, ensuring students understand the tasks.
• Student Engagement: Actively assist and guide students with their work, keeping them motivated and on task throughout the period.
• Registration: Accurately record student attendance at the beginning of each lesson using the schools administrative system.
• Safety and Safeguarding: Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering strictly to the academys health, safety, and safeguarding protocols.
• Handover Reporting: Collect completed student work and write detailed handover notes for the returning classroom teacher.
• Adaptability: Move seamlessly between different subject areas and year groups throughout the school day as required.
• Resource Management: Ensure all classroom resources, textbooks, and equipment are distributed fairly and returned tidy.
