Chauncy School is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to support learning across Key Stages in the absence of teachers. You will supervise lessons, work with subject leaders and support staff to maintain progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Full training and support will be provided. The role offers a first-step path into teaching, with opportunities to develop classroom management and safeguarding skills while supporting student development and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will have a passion for building positive relationships with young people to help them achieve more than they thought possible.
A cover supervisor will cover lessons across all Key Stages in the absence of the class teacher.
Where no cover lessons are scheduled the Cover Supervisor would be expected to participate in small group or individual intervention sessions with students across the age and ability range or support departments with administrative tasks.
While previous experience working in a school setting is desirable, it is not essential. Full training and support will be provided upon appointment.

The Cover Supervisor will provide classroom supervision during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students continue to learn and make progress.
