Job summary

Aspire People is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Hillingdon. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates include graduates, aspiring teachers, or staff with experience working with young people. Roles are available on a flexible basis with ongoing consultant support and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school, youth work, coaching, tutoring or mentoring.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confident working independently with 11–16 age group.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences.

Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools Across Hillingdon

Location: Hillingdon

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, and Flexible Supply Opportunities

Salary: 100- 105 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)

Aspire People is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Hiillingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable school-based experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and that lessons run smoothly using pre-set work provided by teaching staff.

The Role

• Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students complete assigned work.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Supporting schools with day-to-day, short-term, and long-term cover requirements.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence working independently with groups of students aged 11-16.
• A professional, flexible, and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
