Are you a confident classroom leader, ready to make a difference in young people’s lives? Thistley Hough Academy is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support student learning, maintain high standards of behaviour, and ensure continuity in the classroom during teacher absences.

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Thistley Hough Academy, Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: Grade 6 – £25,119 to £27,269. (Actual Salary £21,605 - £23,455)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks (Term Time Only)

Closing Date: Wednesday 4th June 2025

Interview Date: Week Commencing 9th June 2025.

About You

Thistley Hough Academy is seeking a passionate and reliable Cover Supervisor to play a key role in supporting student learning and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment. In this vital position, you’ll step in to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring continuity in students’ education. You’ll guide learners through set work, provide support where needed, and uphold the academy’s high standards of behaviour and engagement. Your presence will help create a calm, respectful, and focused atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of the curriculum, teaching and assessment.
• Experience supporting learning in an educational environment.
