Cover Supervisor – Stockport – September Start

Are you confident, organised, and interested in gaining classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching?

Secondary schools across the Stockport area are looking to recruit reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their teams from September. These full-time roles are ideal for recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people in an educational or coaching setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You’ll manage behaviour, ensure students remain on task, and provide support where needed – all without the planning or marking responsibilities of a fully qualified teacher. Subjects will vary day to day, so flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of subjects and year groups, making it the perfect stepping stone into teacher training or other school-based roles.

• Start Date: September 2025

• Contract: Full academic year, full-time (day-to-day and long-term roles available)

• Pay: £89.38 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
