Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is assisting secondary schools across Folkestone, Dover and the surrounding East Kent area by recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors for both full-time and part-time roles. No teaching experience is required, and comprehensive training is provided.

You'll deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support students to stay engaged across subjects, gaining valuable classroom experience and transferable skills as you explore a future in education.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in any subject.
• No prior teaching experience is required; training is provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience?

Are you considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, youth work or another profession working with young people? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of secondary schools across Folkestone, Dover and the surrounding East Kent area that regularly require enthusiastic and confident Graduate Cover Supervisors for both full-time and part-time positions.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop classroom management skills, gain hands-on experience in education and make a positive impact on students while exploring a future career in teaching.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning and ensure they remain engaged.
• Work across a variety of subjects, giving you broad classroom experience.
• Build confidence and develop valuable transferable skills.

No previous teaching experience is required. Schools provide lesson plans, and Tradewind will support you with training before you begin.

We are looking for graduates who:

• Hold a degree in any subject.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are confident, organised and reliable.
• Enjoy working with young people.
• Have experience working with children or young people through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work or volunteering (desirable but not essential).
