Mana Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of welcoming secondary schools across Rushden and the surrounding areas. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with relevant experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in UK schools or experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
• Confident communication and classroom management skills
• A calm, professional and reliable approach
• A genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in the teacher's absence
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and professionally
• Encourage students to remain engaged with their learning
• Work across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Build experience in a range of local secondary schools

Job description

Location: Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Wellingborough, Irthlingborough, Raunds, Kettering, Northampton, Thrapston, Bedford and surrounding areas.

Pay: £110 - £130 per day (depending on experience and placement)

Contract Types: Flexible Day-to-Day | Long-Term | Full-Time | Part-Time

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor you will:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in the teacher's absence

• Work across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Build experience in a range of local secondary schools

No planning or marking is normally required, allowing you to focus on supporting pupils and maintaining high classroom standards.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience in UK schools or experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
• Confident communication and classroom management skills
• A calm, professional and reliable approach
• A genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed
• Own transport is advantageous but not essential
