We are seeking a confident and resilient Cover Supervisor to join a specialist SEN school in Rochdale. This role will focus on providing classroom cover and strong behaviour support for students whose behavioural needs arise as a result of their additional learning, communication, or emotional needs.

Position: Cover Supervisor (Behaviour Support)
Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent placement)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering pre-prepared lesson activities and supervising classes across a broad curriculum.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively, supporting students whose behaviours are linked to SEN such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.
Implementing individual support strategies to help students engage positively with learning.
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure consistent behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies are followed.
Building strong, supportive relationships with students to promote trust, confidence, and resilience.
Helping to create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with young people with SEN and behaviour needs, ideally in a school, SEN provision, or alternative education setting.
Confident in managing challenging behaviours sensitively and effectively.
Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.
A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to education.
