Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor in Beaconsfield to maintain continuity of learning when teachers are absent. The role requires engaging pupils, following safeguarding policies, and collaborating with staff to support diverse learners.

You will join a welcoming secondary school team, undertake responsibilities across lessons, break times, and activities, and participate in ongoing professional development and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Provide constructive feedback to the relevant teacher regarding pupils' work, behaviour, and any issues that arise.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs, including those requiring additional support.
• Follow individual pupil support plans and school behaviour policies where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and any incidents that occur during lessons.
• Liaise effectively with teachers, Heads of Department, pastoral staff, and other members of the school team.
• Support pupils during break times, lunchtimes, examinations, school trips, and other activities where required.
• Assist with the smooth running of the school and contribute positively to the wider school community.
• Follow school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding, child protection, behaviour, health and safety, and confidentiality.
• Attend relevant meetings, training, and professional development opportunities where required.
• Be flexible and willing to cover different subjects and year groups as needed.
