Horizon School in Lowestoft is seeking a Cover Supervisor to cover lessons due to teacher absence (KS1 – KS4). You will supervise work set by the class teacher and organise how it is delivered, ensuring high learning and behaviour standards.
When not covering lessons, you may support students in lessons as a Lead Learning Support Assistant, carry out interventions, admin tasks, and be part of the on-call system. Closing date: 7 October 2026.

You will supervise the completion of work set for students by the class teacher during periods of absence and develop an effective system of organising the work to be delivered to each class and collating and feeding back the work completed. You will complete this role to a high level ensuring high expectations of students in terms of learning and behaviour, whilst developing positive relationships with students.
Where covering lessons on a day is not required you may be expected to support students in lessons as a Lead Learning Support Assistant/complete one to one interventions and assessments with students/complete administrative tasks to support teaching and learning and be part of the on-call system.
