Aspire is working with various secondary schools in Islington that are currently seeking confident, adaptable, and motivated Cover Supervisors to join their teams on a short-term and long-term basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced classroom support staff looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups (Key Stages 3 and 4)
2. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
3. Ensure students remain on task and complete set work
4. Provide support and guidance where necessary, without the expectation to plan or mark
5. Liaise with teaching staff and school leadership when required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

1. Experience working with young people (in a school, youth group, or similar setting)
2. Strong classroom management skills
3. A proactive and flexible approach to different school environments
4. A genuine interest in education and student development
5. A degree or Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential)
6. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
