Job summary

Vida Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Blackpool and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people.

No classroom experience is required because FREE training is provided to get you started. You will take full control of the classroom in the teacher’s absence, supervise whole classes, manage behaviour, and foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people (essential).
• Confident, proactive, and able to manage a classroom.
• Good behaviour management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take full control of the classroom in the teacher’s absence. You are not required to plan lessons, but you will be responsible for:

• Supervising whole classes independently
• Managing behaviour and keeping students engaged
• Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment

This role requires confidence, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a room.
