Job summary

Overdale Infant School is seeking a enthusiastic, committed Cover Supervisor to join their team. You will step into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared lessons, support pupils and help maintain a calm, positive learning environment during the absence of the class teacher.

Working Wednesday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm (with a 30 minute break) during term time plus 1 week, you will play a key part in promoting pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and good behaviour while gaining valuable

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children within the classroom environment.
• Ability to contribute to a safe, inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Comfort delivering pre-prepared lessons and managing pupil behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage student behaviour to keep lessons on track.
• Create a positive learning environment to support pupils’ progress.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children within the classroom environment. You will play a key part in creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment and in promoting pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
