Job summary

Masterclass Education is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming secondary school in the Horsham area. The role involves supervising classes, maintaining student engagement, and supporting teachers with progress and behaviour.

A DBS update or renewal is preferred, with CPD training available. The position runs 8:30–3:30 on a daily-pay basis (£110 per day), with opportunities for ongoing daily cover across a network of schools.

Masterclass are currently looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work within a welcoming secondary school in the Horsham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain further classroom experience within education. The school has 20 Acre's of beautiful campus for the students to explore, is easily accessible by bus and is equipped with ample parking.

Role Details

• Location: Horsham
• Position: Cover Supervisor - Mainstream Secondary
• Pay: £110 per day
• 8:30 - 3:30
• September start

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher
• Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with set work
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Providing support to students where required
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting young people
• Previous experience presenting and communicating confidently to groups of people
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confident, adaptable, and professional approach
• A passion for supporting students within education

Must have

• Ability to work well independently and as a team
• Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
• A DBS on the Updates Service or willing to obtain one
• Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
