The School and Role

We work with many secondary schools in Northamptonshire and Daventry. Our partner schools seek Cover Supervisors to work on daily supply or longer fixed-term contracts.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils when the class teacher is absent. You will cover a range of secondary subjects, with lesson plans provided in advance. Your responsibilities include facilitating learning, managing classroom behavior, recording registers, and handing over to the absent teacher. Successful candidates are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, organized, passionate about education, and supportive of young people.

This role offers valuable experience in secondary education, ideal for those considering teacher training. Previous secondary school experience is desirable but not essential. Training programs are available for newcomers.
