Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Chorley and surrounding areas, supporting pupils with SEND and complex needs.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience working with SEND
• UK experience (3+ months) for overseas candidates
• Previous secondary school experience is desirable
• Passion for working with children and SEND
• Proactive, resilient and positive approach
• Willingness to obtain/hold Enhanced DBS on Update Service

Cover Supervisor – SEND Secondary Schools | Chorley & Surrounding Areas

Starting Salary: £110 per day | September Start | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Axcis Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Chorley and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with a range of SEND, complex needs and behaviours that challenge. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children and young people with additional needs who is looking for a rewarding role where they can make a genuine difference.

The Role Includes:

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Working hours between 8:30am and 4:00pm
• Supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEND, complex needs and behaviours that challenge
• Providing support both in class and on a 1:1 basis
• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to promote positive outcomes for students
• Helping create a safe, supportive and positive learning environment

To Be Considered, You Will Need:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working with SEND
• Overseas candidates must have at least 3 months' UK experience working with SEND
• Previous experience supporting pupils in a secondary school setting is highly desirable
• Candidates with secondary classroom experience and personal SEND experience will also be considered
• A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEND and complex needs
• A proactive, resilient and positive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one — Axcis can support you through the application process
• The ability to reliably commute to Chorley and the surrounding areas
