Job summary

Aston Manor Academy in Birmingham is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support learning during short-term teacher absence. The role involves supervising the class, implementing prepared work and ensuring pupils stay on task in line with school policies.

The successful candidate will assist teaching staff, help manage behaviour and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment across term-time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the whole class during short-term absence of the class teacher under guidance of teaching/senior staff.
• Implement work programs and assist pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
• Manage pupils' behaviour and assist with their personal development as required.
• Support teaching staff with classroom tasks and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Aston Manor Academy are seeking to appoint a confident, committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor, the role has arisen due to the resignation of the long standing post holder. The successful candidate will supervise the whole class during short-term absence of the class teacher under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, including implementing work programs, managing pupils' behavior and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
