Full – Time Cover Supervisor – Basingstoke, Hampshire

Are you ready to take charge of the classroom and inspire the next generation – even before becoming a qualified teacher?

If so, GSL Education are currently recruiting a full-time Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire, starting September. This exciting opportunity is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with a passion for education looking to gain valuable school-based experience. The role offers a daily pay rate between £95 to £120, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the class teacher.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student engagement and behaviour.
• Support students in staying on task and understanding instructions.

Requirements:

• Strong classroom management and confidence leading groups.
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Adaptability and a calm, professional presence.
• Graduates or aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Competitive daily rates of £95 - £120 (dependent on experience).
