Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a Newark secondary school. The role requires delivering pre-prepared lessons across subjects, maintaining order and engaging students to sustain focus throughout lessons.

The successful candidate will bring calm, resilient energy, strong behaviour management, and excellent communication to build positive relationships with students and staff. This is a full-time, long-term position starting September.

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Newark

Start Date: September

Salary: £95 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Newark that is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. The school offers a challenging but rewarding environment and requires confident staff who can build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries.

The school is looking to take on a full-time Cover Supervisor on a long-term basis from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will deliver pre-prepared work across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is preferred
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Confidence delivering pre-prepared lessons across different subjects
• A calm, resilient and positive attitude
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The right attitude and willingness to learn, with less experienced candidates encouraged to apply
