Job summary

Clarence House Day Nurseries is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Room Leader to work across our Cambridgeshire nurseries, including Cambridge, Chatteris, Ely, Godmanchester, March and Papworth Everard. You will provide Room Leader cover and support across sites, helping to ensure every child receives high-quality care and education wherever you are based.

The role is up to 40 hours per week at £13.75 per hour, with mileage paid at 30p per mile.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 or equivalent Early Years/Childcare qualification.
• At least two years' post-qualification experience working in a nursery.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Knowledge of planning, observations and record-keeping procedures.
• Good understanding of nursery safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to travel between nurseries across Cambridgeshire.
• Full UK driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the highest standard of education and care is provided to children in your charge.
• To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the room.
• To supervise, mentor and support the members of your staff team.
• To liaise with parents, carers and other childcare professionals, providing information as appropriate under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.
• To safeguard children.

Job description

Clarence House Day Nurseries is a group of 15 nurseries in East Anglia and East Midlands.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Room Leader to work across our nurseries in Cambridge, Chatteris, Ely, Godmanchester, March and Papworth Everard.

This is a varied role providing Room Leader cover and additional support across our Cambridgeshire nurseries. You will work with different teams and age groups, helping to ensure our children continue to receive high-quality care and education wherever you are based.

You will be working up to 40 hours per week, with a rate of pay of £13.75 per hour.

Regular travel between our Cambridgeshire nurseries will be required. Your mileage will be paid at the rate of 30p per mile.
