Job summary

Leigh Academy Mascalls in Paddock Wood is seeking a dedicated Cover Manager to coordinate daily staff cover across the academy and ensure consistent classroom support for pupils.

You may also deliver cover lessons, lead set work, and maintain a positive learning environment in line with academy policies, contributing to student progress.

The permanent post is 35 hours per week (Term Time + 1 inset), with a salary of £22,575–£24,496 per annum, depending on experience; Monday to Friday 8am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Organised and efficient at problem-solving to manage daily cover across Absences.
• Willingness to deliver cover lessons and lead set work when needed.
• Ability to support students within academy policies and procedures.

Are you a highly organised individual with a knack for efficient problem-solving? Leigh Academy Mascalls in Paddock Wood is looking for a dedicated Cover Manager to join our team!

In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for managing the smooth allocation of daily cover for staff absences across the academy, ensuring our students consistently receive the support they need. You'll also have the opportunity to deliver cover lessons yourself, gaining valuable, direct classroom experience. This includes leading set work, fostering a positive learning environment, and responding to student needs, all while upholding academy policies.

This is a permanent position offering an actual salary of £22,575 - £24,496 per annum (£27,747 - £30,108 full time equivalent), based on experience. This role is 35 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week of inset. Monday to Friday, 8am-3:30pm.
