Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Casual Court & Tribunal Security Officer to support multiple sites around Manchester. You will manage access control, monitor CCTV and screening equipment, conduct searches, and respond promptly to incidents to keep court users safe.

The ideal candidate holds a valid SIA licence, right to work in the UK, a full UK driving licence, and exhibits strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Valid SIA Licence.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and detail‑focused approach.
• Good understanding of security procedures and health & safety practices.
• Ability to travel between sites within a defined area.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, welcoming and customer-focused service to all court users.
• Control access to buildings and follow security procedures.
• Operate CCTV, X-ray machines and handheld metal detectors.
• Conduct searches including bag checks on entry.
• Monitor areas and communicate with control points.
• Patrol court buildings and satellite locations as required.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and security concerns.
• Record and report incidents and activities.
• Assist in the safe movement of people within the building.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance.
