Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Casual Security Officer to support multi-site operations around Bath, primarily within court and tribunal buildings. You will manage access control, monitoring, and incident response across locations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, enhanced DBS/BS7858 clearance, and the ability to travel between sites within the defined area.

Qualifications

Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass DBS/BS7858 checks.
SIA Licence held and relevant security experience.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Professional, reliable and detail-focused approach.
Good understanding of security procedures and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

Provide a professional, welcoming and customer-focused service to all court users.
Control access to buildings, ensuring security procedures are followed at all times.
Operate security equipment (CCTV, X-ray, handheld detectors) as required.
Conduct searches and bag checks in line with site procedures.
Monitor public and restricted areas and communicate with control points.
Patrol court buildings and satellite locations as needed.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and security concerns.
Record and report all incidents accurately.
Support safe movement of people within the building.
Maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance.
