Glendale Managed Services, the green services division of Alston Investments Ltd, is seeking a Countryside Team Member to deliver reliable, high-quality countryside services across the UK. A solid understanding of countryside management and the machinery used is required, along with a full, clean UK driving licence.

You will perform horticultural tasks, supervise junior staff, operate ride-on and pedestrian mowers, and use power tools and light plant.

Qualificações

• Previous knowledge of countryside management skills and horticulture is desirable; training will be provided.
• Previous experience of handheld machinery is desirable; full training will be given.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake horticultural and countryside tasks, including planting trees/shrubs, fencing, vegetation clearance and management, herbicide application including invasive species management.
• Ensure that lower graded staff understand instructions and work as a team with you and your Line Manager.
• Undertake activities utilising craft skills, e.g. site preparation and construction.
• Operate ride-on mowers and pedestrian mowers.
• Use power tools and light plant.
• Drive company vehicles/tow trailers as required.
• Assist the Countryside Team Leader to carry out contract requirements within time and quality standards.
• Collect and input relevant paperwork; meet deadlines.
• Help maintain a sense of pride in the company and professional attitude.
